Mahabharat with Hindi Translation by Gita Press Gorakhpur, is a available at an affordable price.
In fact, it is a book that one could not afford even in recent times. Even though, it's a popular work in Hindi-speaking societies, it was available, but the same could never be said about the English translation. It was published a few weeks before that. A couple of days ago it came on its way to India from the USA. So, what could possibly bring the book in India? Well, a couple of weeks ago, I received a message from the publisher, which was saying that they were unable to send it to India because the book was not available in the US as per the request of the copyright holders in India. However, they promised that a second printing would be made. At this point I wondered what the problem was? This new edition comes with Hindi translation. I asked the publisher how and why they would want that.
