Close all versions of Reader. · Download the Adobe Acrobat Reader Enterprise package and extract all files to same folder as the MSI. · Open Adobe Acrobat Reader DC MSI and set as installation path. Adobe Acrobat for Windows 8/8.1/10 with the new Reader Viewer or other third party viewer such as Microsoft Edge or Mozilla Firefox Download and install Acrobat Reader and save the file to system32 folder. After installation save the file to system32 or C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat\MSI\Download.exe. Windows also has built-in security mechanism which protects the system. If the program or extension does not work after it's been installed the system security mechanism will automatically uninstall the application. To permanently remove the Adobe Acrobat Reader from the system run the following command: acroav.exe /remove If you prefer it's better to install the file using the Microsoft application from this link and set the path where Adobe Reader is installed to the application file. The MSI files in this package will take precedence over the previously installed software. In order to uninstall the MSI file run uninstall Adobe Acrobat Reader DC from the command line.
